Suspect Hospitalized after Accidental Self-Inflicted Gunshot after Hit-and-Run near Clement StreetSAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 12, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a hit-and-run collision on 14th Avenue left a driver and a suspect hospitalized.Authorities responded to the collision around 12:00 p.m., in the area of 14th Avenue and Clement Street. SAN JOSE — A bicyclist has died from injuries she suffered last month when a driver hit and seriously injured her then fled the scene, police said, adding another tragedy to what has become one of the deadliest stretches of road in the city.The latest case unfolded June 3 when, just two minutes before midnight, San Jose police were called to Monterey Road and Curtner Avenue for a report of a “major injury” hit-and-run collision between a vehicle and a woman riding a bicycle.An investigation determined that the bicyclist was riding eastbound across Monterey Road when a still-unidentified driver heading north hit her and then sped away. (KRON) -- The Santa Clara Police Department busted a large marijuana operation late Monday night, it said in a Facebook post. SCPD said officers seized 384 mature marijuana plants. SCPD was called to a vacant residence after a caller reported suspicious activity. Officers found marijuana plants inside of a vehicle parked in front of the residence. Police investigating sexual battery in Palo Alto neighborhood Four suspects were seen coming out of the home, and they were detained. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the building and discovered that it was converted into a marijuana grow operation.In addition to the 384 marijuana plants, officers took two pounds of mushrooms, scales, and dried marijuana. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for inland portions of the Bay Area and Central Coast this weekend, according to the National Weather Service. Inland temperatures are expected to range from the 90s up to 110. Coastal areas will be in the 70s up to the 80s.The heat warning takes effect Saturday morning and will last through late Sunday.
