An investigation got underway over the weekend after credit card skimmers were found at a grocery store in Sudbury, officials said. Roach Bros. Supermarkets in a statement said the skimmers were found on two self-checkout pin pads at the chain’s Sudbury Farms location off Boston Post Road on Sunday. Roach Bros. said it “immediately took steps to secure all registers at all locations and launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the activity.”Roach Bros. operates 20 grocery stores around Massachusetts. As of Sunday, the chain said it determined the Sudbury Farms store was the only store impacted.While there was no confirmation that any customer data had been compromised, Roach Bros. said anyone who shopped at the Sudbury Farms site on or before Sunday may have been impacted.Roach Bros. CHICAGO — One person is dead and another is injured after an overnight crash on the Northwest Side, police said.According to police, the deadly crash happened near the corner of Belden and Cicero in the Belmont Craigin neighborhood around 12:45 a.m.Authorities say a man driving a scooter, with another man sitting passenger, were headed northbound on Cicero when they collided with a gray sedan travelling westbound. Man shot after pulling knife during fight at Red Line station Both the driver of the scooter and passenger were injured and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition. The Cook County medical examiner later confirmed that one person injured in the crash, a 28-year-old man, succumbed to their injuries. Monday saw a second day of record high temperatures across the Twin Cities metro with the mercury reaching 54 degrees — soaring past the previous Christmas record set more than 100 years ago.The last time temperatures on Christmas were above 40 was in 1922 when the metro saw high of 51 degrees, according to Eric Ahasic, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Twin Cities.It was the second day high-temperature records were shattered in the Twin Cities.On Christmas Eve day, a high of 55 degrees was recorded, breaking the previous record of 46 degrees in 1957, Ahasic said.Temperatures are expected to begin to drop beginning Tuesday morning, he said. According to the Culver City Police Department, officers learned that some the family’s belongings – including the children’s bikes – had been stolen from a moving truck days before Christmas.
