(AP) — A Kansas police chief who led an August raid on a small weekly newspaper seemed to have the support of most city leaders in the weeks since the search, despite public outcry and calls for his resignation. But that changed quickly once details began emerging about Marion Police Chief Gideon Cody’s conduct. Cody was suspended Thursday, the same day a television station reported that he asked a local restaurant owner to delete text messages. Then body camera video of the Aug. 11 search of the Marion County Record was released — and it appeared to show Cody looking at a reporter’s investigative file about him. Emails about the raid also emerged. CHICAGO — Two teens were hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon after a shooting in the city's Kenwood neighborhood, police say. According to Chicago police, the shooting, which left a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old injured, happened in the 4300 Block of South Lake Park around 5:30 p.m. CTA bus supervisor shot on Chicago’s Southwest Side Offices say it happened after the 17-year-old boy attempted to break up a fight in the area. The people involved in the altercation fled from the scene, but police say they later returned with a gun. Chicago Police say the offenders fired shots at the two teens, hitting both of them in the lower back. Both teens were later taken to the hospital in stable condition.According to police, nobody is in custody in connection to the shooting and Area 1 Detectives are conducting an investigation.Those with information can leave a tip for officers at CPDtip.com. BENNINGTON, Vt. (NEWS10) -- A New Hampshire man was arrested after being accused of stalking a woman in the Schuylerville, N.Y., area for several years using his airplane. Michael Arnold, 65, of Manchester, N.H., was charged with Aggravated Stalking, Impeding, False Information to a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest.The FBI Albany office contacted the Bennington Police Department that Arnold's plane may have been at the William H. Morse State Airport in Bennington. An officer located the single engine Cessna at the airport, and police determined Arnold was last seen flying west toward New York several days earlier. The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office identified the teenager who died after a shooting at Southlands Mall on Saturday night and ruled his death a homicide.Raphael Velin, 15, died of gunshot wounds after he was shot in the parking lot outside the mall at 6155 S.
